Garlic & Thyme Mushrooms

Try this delicious mushroom recipe using locally grown, chemical free Budgee Herbs and Garlic. Delicious for breakfast with poached eggs and toasted sourdough or on top of a perfectly grilled steak


4 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 small onion finely chopped
500g button mushrooms
2 tablespoons dry white wine* (optional)
1/2 teaspoon Budgee thyme
1 tablespoons Budgee parsley
1 tablespoon crushed Budgee Garlic Crisps or 5 cloves garlic minced
Salt and pepper to taste


Heat the butter and oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.

Sauté the onion until softened (about 3 minutes).

Add the garlic and mushrooms, turning occasionally, cook for about 4-5 minutes until golden and crispy on the edges.

Pour in the wine and cook for 2 minutes.

Stir through thyme and parsley. Cook for a further 30 seconds, until fragrant.

Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Can be used as a starter or an accompaniment to a main meal.
