The Chocolate Cottage
You would think the sweetest thing about the Chocolate Cottage would be their hand made selection of mouth-watering chocolates and whilst these are definitely worth the trip it’s the massive expanse of lawn at the front of this charming café / restaurant that is the highlight for us. Think English style village green with tables and chairs dotted around and some trendy little shops to browse through as well. The food is superb! From a hearty breakfast and barista coffee to a delightful lunch with a glass of wine, the Chocolate Cottage is really popular with families where it’s all about sitting back and taking in the ambience. Try their famous waffles, simply divine, and don’t go home without some chocolates.

Monty Brewing Co
Just next door to the Chocolate Cottage you will find Monty Brewing Co a boutique brewery specialising in authentic craft beers and ciders. Perched on the edge of the escarpment, this venue features some pretty impressive views. The wrap around veranda is a top spot to enjoy a beer tasting session and if that gets the taste buds fired up settle in for a delicious lunch or dinner. Monty Brewing Co is well loved by the locals and this venue often features live music on the weekends.
They have also recently started serving breakfasts. What a way to start the day, brekky with a view!
